We are pleased to announce a special long weekend in France at The Mill Retreat Centre from 9th-13th April 2026 entitled ‘Experimental Trance’. This will be focusing entirely on trance and the different purposes for which this energy is used by Spirit when we develop altered states of consciousness with spiritual purpose.
It is a small and intimate venue, with only 50 people including tutors, in a beautiful location within 30 acres of grounds with a lake, beside which there is a sauna, and there is an outside fire pit. It is also a venue only used by those groups working in a positive and powerful way for good, so the energy is perfect.
The cost will be £690 per person, with registration on the afternoon of Thursday, 9th April and everyone departing on Monday, 13th April after breakfast, with a packed lunch for the onward journey.
As a venue often used for yoga and meditation, the food has positive reviews with an organic vegetarian, gluten free and processed sugar free menu – no meat or fish. Delegates should please note that there are no alternative choices; everyone receives the same menu.
Please be prepared to share a room and there are shared bathrooms. Bed linens, pillows and blankets are provided, but please remember to bring your own towel. If you forget to bring a towel, they are available for 5 euros. Some bedrooms are triple or quadruple rooms allowing for friends and groups to share.
Sadly, this is not a venue for anyone with mobility concerns, as the most impressive conference room is on the second floor, and the bedrooms are largely on the first and second floors, with no lift. Other conference rooms are on the ground floor.
However, the energy of the place makes it perfect for this special weekend, where you will have the opportunity to progress your own development in new and exciting ways.
Do not delay if you are interested in this special course, as places will go very quickly.
Look out for the full programme, which will follow shortly.
You can view the venue at www.millretreatcentre.com and your tutors will be ISF President Robin Hodson (UK) , ISF Vice President Richard Schoeller (US), and ISF Committee Treasurer, Anita Garrod.

The cost for the week is all-inclusive for accommodation for 4 nights, all classes, evening programs and meals/snacks; the full week fee covers everything except travel and your incidentals, £690 per person. The rooms are comfortable and modern, however, noted above participants should expect to share a room; if you are traveling alone you will be matched with someone of the same gender.
ISF members will receive a £20 discount. If you are not yet a member and would like to sign up prior to registration, click here: https://www.theisf.com/information/join/
The ISF annual events are very special, bringing together like-minded people to share, learn and to socialise together. The events also give the opportunity for members to talk with other Spiritualists who might be following a similar path, giving the chance to share joys, challenges, and the path forward. At our gatherings, the important factor is the inclusive atmosphere in learning. We may all come from different parts of the globe, but in learning together, we all benefit for our experience and knowledge.
