DESCRIPTION:International Spiritualist Federation U.S. Event March 24th – March 26th\, 2017 \nSponsored locally by Serenity Guides\, Crownsville\, Maryland & the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment\, NSAC\, Falls Church\, Virginia \nIn order to reserve a spot in classes payment is required in advance. \nYou may also reserve a spot at the demonstrations by paying in advance\, however for those events participants may also register at the door if there is space. \nIf signing up for all three events in advance\, participants receive a $10 discount\, calculated at checkout\n		\n							\n						\n				\nClasses			\n			\n					\n	\nClasses held Friday\, March 24th & Saturday\, March 25th\, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day Goodloe Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church\, 1540-C Pointer Ridge Place\, Bowie\, MD 20716\nTwo-day class fee: $125 \nChoose from one of the following two classes:\nWorking With TranceThis workshop is designed to provide both a basic understanding of theoretical aspects of the trance states as well as practical exercises designed to further the development of trance. \nThe workshop introduces the following aspects: \n– Understanding perception and control\n– To explore our perceptions of trance\n– Mechanics of mediumship\n– To provide an insight into the various states of trance\n– Practical exercises designed to develop trance\n– Practice sitting for trance \n“Who should join the workshop?” “Would I be suitable?” “I’m not a trance medium\, is it for me?”   All familiar questions but\, simply applicants should have an interest in trance mediumship\, be enthusiastic to participate\, but most of all be open and willing to work. There are people who are more easily developed in this field\, but all applicants should recognize that during this workshop\, participants will progress at a different rate. Disappointment is only borne of high expectation. Better to come\, enjoy the experience in a friendly\, supportive atmosphere and be prepared for whatever level of achievement the group achieve as a whole.\n\nRobin Hodson is an English Medium with 29 years experience serving Spiritualist Churches and Centres both in his native Britain and America\, Canada\, Finland\, Iceland and Sweden. Robin is the President of the International Spiritualist Federation and President of Seafordspirit\, an independent Spiritualist centre. In addition to the church and public platform presentations of mediumship\, Robin is an experienced tutor in the various forms of mediumship\, his main area of interest is trance and physical mediumship\, having run physical circles for the past 23 years.Enhancing Your MediumshipIn this workshop Richard will cover the basics of mediumship.\nStructuring your mediumship\, working with your clairvoyance\, clairaudience and clairsentience.  He will discuss what mediumship is and what mediumship is not.  He will also talk about how the communication process is occurring.  During our time together you will be given exercises that will help you explore and deepen your understanding of your own mediumship and strengthen your connection to the Spiritual Realm.\n\nRichard P. Schoeller is an ordained minister and founding member of Summerland Church of Light\, NSAC in Hauppauge\, NY. He has been studying the Science\, Philosophy and Religion of Spiritualism since 1997 and holds the credentials of Certified Medium\, Commissioned Spiritualist Healer and National Spiritualist Teacher. Aside from being a member of the Lily Dale Assembly\, a former member of the NSAC Board\, he currently holds the position of Vice President of the International Spiritualist Federation and is a Director and Teacher with the Inner Spiritual Center in Wayne\, NJ. Richard has taught classes and demonstrated mediumship in England\, Scotland\, Austria\, Switzerland and Germany as well as served a number of Spiritualist churches and centers throughout the United States.\n		\n							\n						\n				\nDemonstrations			\n			\n					\n	\nDemonstration of MediumshipRobin Hodson and Richard Schoeller will offer messages from Spirit loved ones to members of the audience and if there is time may answer some questions from the audience regarding their respective processes of mediumship. DESCRIPTION:Holland 2016			\n			\n					\n	\nThe event ends after breakfast on 06/08/2016. \nThe ISF will hold its 34th World Congress at De Zwanenhof in Zenderen\, Holland. A former monastery about an hour outside of Amsterdam\, The Zwanenhof describes itself: “Since 1927 people have been coming to this beautiful\, authentic building—with its exceptional chapel and lovely monastery gardens—for peace\, spirituality and to find ‘meaning’. This has made it into a ‘house with a soul’; a place where it feels like ‘coming home’.” The centre offers differing types of accomodation at different rates. \nThe International Spiritualist Federation World Congress week offers wonderful training and educational opportunities. With truly International tutors\, the ISF represents 37 countries\, with participants travelling from all over the world to meet and learn together. After early morning meditation\, Tai Chi\, Qi-Gong or walking meditation and daily healing sessions\, the days typically are structured around morning groups\, tutoring mental mediumship\, trance mediumship and sometimes physical mediumship to suit all levels of delegates\, Spirit Art\, Spiritual Healing and Shamanic Journeying. Afternoons include the same topics with different tutors\, giving you the opportunity to take a different class or the same subject with a different tutor. We also offer a few different topics such as platform presentation\, philosophy\, various workshops and lectures. While most lecturers are happy for you to record their lectures\, it is only polite to ask their permission on each occasion.  Sometimes permission will be refused\, and we ask that you  abide by their decision if this is the case. \nNO UNOFFICIAL SITTINGS OR CONSULTATIONS ARE PERMITTED: If you are approached by any individual offering you a sitting or consultation which does not entail booking through the Committee Member\, we appeal to you to refuse them. \nFor those who have never attended before it is customary to donate a raffle prize\, taking into account that large prizes may be difficult to transport home for those who are flying thank you. \nThe ISF is offering its members the opportunity to rent a stall for £10 per evening to sell items.
